Jason Gomez, a junior at Iowa State, finished fourth in a personal-best 1:46.34 in the men's 800-meter final at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. It marked the third consecutive 800 championship race that Iowa State produced an All-America first-team honoree, including Festus Lagat in both 2019 and 2021.
